The Peace, Justice and Human Rights (PJHR) program combines undergraduate research and study with experiential and service learning to help students gain a thorough understanding of peace building and conflict resolution, social justice, and human rights advocacy.

Consistent with Catholic social teaching that sees peace as inseparable from justice, and the extension of human rights as a fundamental ethical obligation, the PJHR Program also promotes political pluralism, cultural and religious diversity, ecological balance, and nonviolent conflict resolution. Its fundamental goal is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and creativity to become advocates for justice and promote peace.

Graduates of the PJHR program are pursuing careers in a wide number of fields, including law, mediation, advocacy, government service, non-profit administration, social entrepreneurship, ministry, and social work.
