The Editor Search Committee of the Association of Global South Studies (AGSS) invites applications, as well as nominations, for a five-year term as editor of the Journal of Global South Studies (JGSS) starting January 2019. The editor of the journal shall be appointed and/or reappointed by the Executive Council. The JGSS publishes original peer-reviewed articles and a variety of book reviews.

Application for PBI 2018 The Peace-Building Institute was founded as a platform that brings together Rwandan, regional and international university students and young professionals to examine and discuss how post-genocide society has dealt with legacies left by the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi.. Respectively, it is a forum where participants are able to discuss the challenges and strategies used by Rwanda to extricate itself from the consequences of the Genocide and reshape the present and future.

The William J. Kreidler Award for Distinguish Service to the field of Conflict Resolution is made annually by the Education, Research, and Training Section of the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR). Nominations close August 4, 2018. The award will be made at ACR's Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh, PA on October 4, 2018. For more information including the nomination form and criteria, click here
Annual Theses/Dissertation Awards: Undergraduate and Graduate Undergraduate capstones/honors thesis projects and graduate dissertations completed between May 2017 and May 2018 are eligible for awards at this year’s PJSA conference. One undergraduate and one graduate level thesis will be selected from the array of nominations. Once nominated by a faculty mentor, professor or supervisor, the student will be directly contacted and asked to submit their work for consideration by the PJSA Student Awards Committee.
