Despite the fact that many of us are not ‘teaching’, with end of semester tasks, we know things can get quite busy. We also know that with University budgets shrinking in an age of austerity, many of us are struggling to get our small piece of the pie.

Call for applications to participate in a collaborative research project

A joint research project to identify peacebuilding approaches to countering violent extremism.

Peace Direct is launching a collaborative research project for experts and practitioners in countering violent extremism (CVE). The project will bring together people with knowledge and experiences from a diverse range of contexts to share best practices and develop new approaches.

The research will cover CVE as it relates to three broad areas:

The Peace and Justice Studies Association (PJSA) stands behind Dr. Sa’ed Atshan, a Palestinian Quaker, Professor of Peace and Conflict Studies at Swarthmore College, and PJSA member.

Dr. Atshan was disinvited from a talk he had been scheduled to make at Friends’ Central School in Philadelphia.
